Girls Football Club in Bangkok
Girls' football in Bangkok, twice a week after school
Lions FC Girls is run by the parents, not for profit. Ages 8-15, two coaches, and teammates from schools right across the city.
No experience needed. Come once and decide.
Why it matters
Why football matters for girls
In a city this size it is not easy to keep a child properly active, and parents want more than that: a safe place for her to grow up in, a new circle outside school, and the chance to turn it into real friendships. Twice a week the girls work on their skills together, get better together, and grow as a team.

What the club does
Extracurricular football, two hours a week
Lions FC is where the girls get stronger, pick up real skill, and find a second circle of friends outside school. For an expat family that last one counts for as much as the football.
Coaching, twice a week
Two coaches qualified by the Football Association of Thailand.
What they work on
First touch, passing, movement, and the decisions a player makes on the ball.
A second circle of friends
New friends from international and Thai schools across the city - a social circle wider than one school can give.
Finding what she is good at
Confidence on the ball and off it, the habit of making their own decisions, and the room to find out what each player is good at.
Why this club
Everything that comes with the football
Lions FC was started in January 2020 by one of the parents, as extra football coaching for his daughter and her school friends. Six years later the club is still here, and still for girls only.
- It shows up in their school teams
- What they work on here shows up in the games they play for their school.
- A multilingual club
- Over the years girls from a great many language backgrounds have come through the club, and there is always someone who can help if something is not understood.
- An hour without phones
- Nobody is on a phone here. For the whole session the girls talk to each other, on the pitch and off it, and it is the first thing many parents notice.
- The parents around the team
- Girls from a dozen different countries, and a friendly, supportive group of parents around the team.

From our families
What parents and players say
I love the way the coaches explain the technique and skill of football together with the team's work. It is an environment where players can develop and be creative without the pressure of making mistakes, and that is what truly helped my daughter become a player with better awareness and confidence on the ball. Lions FC also gave her an exciting opportunity to play in a different position and improve her skills. I have seen nothing but improvement and growth: faster running and playing with the ball, better decision-making, and a good view of the team. Thanks to all the Lions FC coaches.
